Bob Armstrong has had a varied career in conservation. Trained as a lawyer, he has served in elected posts as a representative for Austin in the Texas Legislature, and as the state's General Land Commissioner. He has also held appointed leadership positions as energy and environmental advisor in Governor Richard's Administration, as a member of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, and as Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Land and Minerals.
