Curriculum

The Texas Legacy site hosts a variety of educational curricula, lesson plans, keys and ideas, and supporting media, including video, databases, transcripts and other material.  The site is based on oral histories, much like what you can collect (see here for an introduction).

Below you can find links to various subjects that we've organized from our oral histories, organized under the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) categories.  Also, please look here for a variety of maps of natural resources and human uses in Texas to give context to these lessons and related materials.  You might also be interested in a number of exercises involving time studies and case studies.  Finally, for extra readings and resources, please take a look at our reference page.
